GrenacheDomaine Jérôme Gradassi Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge is a highly acclaimed, organic wine from the Southern Rhône Valley. Crafted from ancient vineyards dominated by Grenache and blended with Mourvèdre, this elegant wine is produced by a former Michelin-starred chef who transitioned into winemaking. It is known for its purity, lifted floral aromatics, and remarkable balance. Hand picked, whole bunch fermentation with wild yeasts in concrete tank for about 4 weeks. Maturation of 10 months in old oak barrels. The wine is completely dry and savoury, with high tones that balance their full bodied structure. Beautiful deep ruby colour, the wine shows the typical notes of ripe fruits, spice and garrigue. The palate is powerful but beautifully balanced by a refreshing acidity. A stylish wine of gastronomy with length and purity. Pairs well with grilled and roasted meat, casserole and game. The Winemaker: Jérôme Gradassi sold his Avignon restaurant to take over his family's historic estate in 2003. Vineyard Location: The vines are located north of the village in the cooler sectors of Orange, providing natural elegance. Viticulture: Grapes are farmed 100% organically without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or weedkillers. The Terroir: Soils are composed of sand over clay and limestone, resulting in wines with perfume and lift.
