Greenwich Park Wines is a passion project for me, Stuart Buchanan. After searching for two years to find a site, planting the vineyard in 2016/17, building a house and garden, building a winery and working full-time, the dream is well and truly alive. I aim to make highly drinkable wines in small batches with minimal intervention. I use grapes grown at my home site in Greenwich Park and sourced from Tumbarumba and Hilltops in Southern NSW. Greenwich Park is located between the wine regions of Canberra and the Highlands, in the broader GI of Southern NSW. Situated on the edge of the Great Dividing Range at about 780m asl, it has excellent cold air drainage with the hills sloping down to the river at 600m. We're high enough in elevation to generally get a little snow every year. Higher and drier than the Highlands and cooler and wetter than Canberra. It has a moderately deep volcanic basalt soil full of gravel.
